Silverstone Health Expands Care Continuum Beyond Hospice, Sees Skyrocketing Census Growth

November 15, 2024

Silverstone Health, a Dallas-based healthcare provider, has rapidly expanded its services since its founding in 2020, growing its daily patient census from 17 to 2,000. Originally launched as a hospice after CEO Alfonso Montiel’s acquisition and rebranding of Comfort Care Hospice, the company has since developed a comprehensive continuum of care that now includes hospice, home health, palliative care, specialty physician services, wound care, and telehealth. Silverstone’s strategy involves a deliberate, synchronized approach to service integration, supported by key acquisitions, including home health agencies and a physician group. Montiel, whose career spans strategic planning, private equity, and charity work, aims to provide seamless, less fragmented care for seriously ill patients and those transitioning between care settings. The company has seen its annual revenue increase 15-fold since its inception, and Montiel continues to explore partnerships to further innovate the healthcare space.
